Social Impact: Creating Ripples That Become Waves
In July, Paddle Australia stakeholders mapped out a shared vision that could be used to show the long-term social impact that the sport of Paddle and events such as the ICF Slalom World Championships deliver to all Australians.
From engaging First Nations communities to promoting sustainability and inclusion, the sport is creating ripples that extend far beyond the water.
The impact chain, which describes inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and long-term change will help Paddle Australia to track how paddling contributes to community wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and social equity.
With Griffith University’s support, Paddle Australia is measuring their impacts to ensure paddling continues to make a meaningful difference.
