PADDLING BUILDS BETTER LIVES

Health & Movement: Paddling Builds Better Lives! Data from the first wave of Griffith Univeristy's longitudinal survey confirms that people who paddle report better health than people who don’t paddle.  

Their work is already showing that paddling is more than recreation, it’s a pathway to better health.

People who paddled in the last month reported higher wellbeing, and motivations like enjoying nature, stress relief, and social connection were strongly linked to higher rates of paddle minutes.

The sport’s accessibility and diversity from recreational paddling to slalom and ocean racing make the sport of paddle a very powerful tool for promoting active lifestyles. Paddle Australia’s commitment to movement is helping Australians live healthier, more connected lives.
